Honky Tonk and Wellesley
by Hella ~ December 29th, 2003I picked up a new (to me) Deryl Dodd CD and went to watch Mona Lisa Smile tonight.
The CD is really good. I bought it mainly for “Things Are Fixin’ To Get Real Good” and there is both a live (at Billy Bob’s Texas) version and one from the studio, listed at Bonus Track 1.
I went to see the movie mainly because Julia Roberts is one of my favorites. She did a good job in this one as did most of the others in their roles as women in the early ’50s. Kirsten was really pretty nasty but it was good to see her turn it around by the end.
