High as a Kite
by Hella ~ March 7th, 2004I had a great run this afternoon and ended the 4 mile loop heading right into the setting sun. Today marks my third run in as many days, but I’m sure this will end with the work week starting back tomorrow. I tried to push the pace a bit today which I generally do not do. I’m realizing now that when I seriously began running in 2001, my training had more variety (length of runs, intensity, locations). I probably need to mix things up to get back in the shape I was in before my knee mishap prior to my first marathon.
I thought the parking was bad on Friday, but it’s nothing compared to what it was today. That’s because the Zilker Kite Festival was on today. Today could not have been a better day for the event. The temperature was in the 70s, it was bright, and best of all, there was quite a bit of wind.
