Angels & Demons

I really thought I had Dan Brown figured out this time. I’m glad I was wrong, because it made the book even better. I read the majority of it in one day (460+ of the 569 pages) and must agree with a few of my friends that this one is better than The Da Vinci Code. I think he actually wrote this book subsequent to the second book in the Langdon series.

The twists this book takes are very tricky. I think the book is such a quick read because much of the plot is “revealed” early on. However, the good stuff really starts after these predictable events are over. I have to say the way this story unfolds is more complex than either of the other Brown novels I’ve read.

There is now only one book by this author (Digital Fortress) that I have yet to read and I’m wondering when I’ll tackle it. Next? I don’t have anything on my bookshelf right now so I’ll be going tomorrow to pick something up.
