Houston Admit Gathering
by Hella ~ April 4th, 2004I decided to trek over to Houston today and spent about three hours talking with a couple other admits (and their significant others) that live there. Alex was in town for a conference, so he joined us as well. The temperature was a little on the warm side, but there was a nice umbrella providing shade, though it did nothing to help with the Houston humidity.
Among the topics of conversation were admissions numbers for this year, the Dan Brown books some of us have been reading, our plans for choosing a major and post-MBA careers, and the housing search. We also had some interesting talk about the queueing system for the cafe since this place was certainly not the most efficient.
It was great to meet up with some other people from Texas. Hopefully I’ll get to meet more of them at Welcome Weekend and perhaps organize a small gathering for the admits here in Austin.
