Lost Soles
by Hella ~ April 27th, 2004After the mudfest at Rocky Hill Ranch, I put my Montrails in the washing machine but not before taking out the laces and the insoles. When I went to run this afternoon, I remembered the laces but forgot the insoles. Needless to say, my 4 mile loop was interesting. By the end of it, I felt no spring in my step since the shoes are pretty stiff to begin with. Hopefully this is the last time I make that mistake.
The run was nice and I think it helped work out some soreness from Saturday. There’s another trail race this weekend, but I think I’m going to sit it out.

I don’t think I can imagine running 4 miles with no insoles. My feet get mad enough as it is when I try to run on them.
