Hella

First off, I had no idea what this movie would be about since I hadn’t seen any previews. I saw Tina Fey on Bob Costas’s show last night and she noted it was opening April 30th. From her descriptions of the cast, I thought the adult characters would play more lead roles. I just didn’t realize Lindsay Lohan was who she was (I’m bad with names sometimes; I’ve seen Freaky Friday).

This movie appeals to an audience that can be quite noisy. There were a lot of young girls (under 13) in the theater and before the movie started, there were some obnoxious moms trying to keep their kids quiet. Once the movie started, they were better.

Overall I liked this one, but it’s not one of my favorite comedies. I think it was moderately humorous. The dumb girl character was pretty funny, though. Tim Meadows was a touch too serious but I guess that was just his character. My favorite performance was from Amy Poehler (she’s also great on SNL). She continually cracked me up!
