Packing and Littering

by Hella ~ July 5th, 2004

With the move less than a week away, my packing and planning preparations are in full motion. Today I went by the Public Storage to purchase more boxes and take a look at the moving trucks. I didn’t see the actual one I’ll be driving but I saw one of the same size. Even though it looks huge, I still think I made a wise choice in opting for more room with the 15-foot instead of the 10-foot truck.

I’d say right now I’m about 30% packed. I have the closets mostly clear and the bathroom drawers and cabinets cleaned out. Now I’ve got to organize a bit more, throw out stuff I don’t plan to use, and put the rest of it in the boxes. I’m going to make my best attempt at becoming very organized since the new apartment won’t give me as much room. I’m hoping some of the new things from Ikea will help me out in this respect.

So the kitties wouldn’t feel left out on getting new furnishings, I picked up a new litter box, got them a new placemat for their food and water area, and also got a small bag of food for the roadtrip and to make it through the first week in Philadelphia. I think the new litter box will be easier to maintain since it’s a lot smaller and since I’m going to switch to flushable clumping litter.
