Over the Hill
by Hella ~ November 9th, 2004My midterm busy-ness is at last over and I’m enjoying the calm. Though I still haven’t gotten any grades back, I’m not complaining. My last three exams were all extremely long and it was hard to finish. We all expected this with finance; with accounting, not so much; with my competitive strategy exam this morning, I really wasn’t sure what to expect. But I’m glad they’re *over* and it’s nice to chill for a while and let things just wash on by. Maybe now I can start to refocus on recruiting.
Today after class I headed home to change into nicer clothes so I could attend a panel discussion with a bank at 4:30. Well, it turns out that the event was called off but there is a cocktail reception later. I’m using the downtime to catch up on email (my inbox was really messy).
Though I still have a lot to do, my list is considerably more bearable now that the two midterms are no longer on it. I’ve got a bit of feedback to give my learning teammates for Leadership class, I have a few websites I’m building for clubs, and I’ve got to look over the plan for a consulting project I’m working on with DGSAC. The project is starting to get pretty interesting and I’ll be able to apply some of the things I’ve learned recently in Customer Behavior. It’s nice to be involved in more “consulting” type work since I probably won’t be doing consulting for the summer.
And speaking of Over the Hill … Happy 30th Birthday R! :-)
