Haven’t Really Quit
by Hella ~ November 28th, 2004I thought that in coming to business school, I’d be able to put some of my technical skills up on the shelf and let them dry out a bit. However, I’m finding that I’m still using them for a variety of purposes, particularly helping clubs out. So far, I’ve volunteered to set up web sites for the Finance Club and the Dean’s Graduate Student Advisory Committee. I also worked with admissions in setting up the Adcomblog and a few of its RSS related features. But the skills are coming in handy for classes, too; I’m designing a marketing survey for our Customer Behavior group project. We could have used Survey Monkey but it’s going to work out nicer since we have some custom logic to put into the questions.
So for now, the skills are being kept nice and fresh but maybe one day soon I’ll move into something more strategic. And that reminds me, some resume drop deadlines are just a few days away!
