No Sleep, No Contest
by Hella ~ February 23rd, 2005I’m way behind on sleep this week and I’ve been paying the price today. I’ve felt a bit faint most of the day but classes are now over and I ventured back home. Even though I only had two classes today, I’ve had a very full schedule.
I started by waking up early so I could make it to school and take prospective students to class. Then I had Business and Public Policy at 9:00a. I only have one session left in that class and I’m quite thankful as I don’t care for it *at all*. The first half of the quarter was Legal Studies (business law) and I didn’t think it would get worse (it did). We still haven’t gotten our midterms back and we took them a couple weeks ago. Even though there was an essay component, this is way too long to go without our grades.
I spent the time between BPUB and my 1:30p Managerial Accounting class working on a document for my DGSAC client. I also grabbed lunch at one of my favorite food trucks, Hanan - House of Pita, and ate with friends in the MBA Cafe. Then it was time for the next to last accounting lecture (I’m ready for this one to be over, too; however, my teacher is a total Rock Star and it’s too bad she’s visiting from Darden).
After class, I stopped by my DGSAC client to drop off some materials then headed home on the trolley. I’m now going to take a quick nap and work on the case for tomorrow’s competition. At 6p, I’ll be doing the s2s chat for about an hour. Then it’s over to National to pick up the rental car that my team will be taking to Virginia to tomorrow’s AOL Case Competition. I don’t anticipate it going well but we’re meeting again tonight to get our presentation together. Yuk. This would probably have been better left for another team and it’s one thing I can say I regret signing up for :-)
Oh, the election went as planned. I ran unopposed for the third time this semester. So next year, I’ll be serving as:
- VP Communications - Out 4 Business
- VP Marketing - Finance Club
- Treasurer - Sales and Trading Club
Interestingly, I’ll be responsible for the websites for all three groups. Tech stuff just won’t leave me alone … or maybe I won’t leave it alone?
