Time’s Up
by Hella ~ March 2nd, 2005It’s never a good thing when you’re working furiously to get through an exam and then you hear, “Put your pencil down.” For a moment, it conjured up a really nasty interview during DIP with a really not very patient interviewer. But at least DIP is over and now Managerial Accounting is over, too. I just hope everyone else thought the test had as many tricks as I did. Compared to the practice problems, most of the problems on the exam had extra little quirks. This is really the first exam that I’ve had trouble finishing so no telling how bad the grade will be :-)
Now my Quarter 3 is officially over since I don’t have the OPIM exam. I’m leaving on a Spring Break trip on Friday so in order to make use of tomorrow, I’m going to hit the law library to do some research on my paper for Tax Accounting. That’s one of those classes that I was really excited to sign up for and it’s been a boatload a reading that I haven’t been able to get through. I really want to learn more of the material, it’s just been a tough quarter. Maybe the fresh start after the break will get me back in hyper-productive mode.
In other news I hosted a prospectives lunch today and had really good turnout. There weren’t any other student hosts since it is exam week and most people were probably busy studying. We had a nice chat and all of the people there had some great questions. I was happy to hear them ask about many different things about the experience and they all seemed genuinely interested in the school. It’s probably the best lunch I’ve had with prospectives and that felt good. At least I was in good spirits going into tonight’s exam!
