Great DGSAC Meeting

by Hella ~ March 15th, 2005

This afternoon’s DGSAC meeting was my favorite of the year. We had a very interesting presentation from the project team followed by an engaging discussion about the learning environment here at Wharton. Before today’s meeting, I’d been polling fellow students on possible inputs for today’s discussion and many were covered by my classmates on the committee. This is one activity at Wharton that consistently reminds me that I’m around some *very* talented people. Plus it’s really neat to be in a monthly meeting with the top administrators of the Graduate Program.

My client project has been rather time intensive during a couple of weeks. While it has been frustrating, it’s starting to feel quite rewarding here at the end. My team will give our final presentation at next month’s meeting with the dean. I’ll be nice to cap off the year’s activities but it’s also a reminder that we’ll have to say goodbye to the second years on the committee.

Oh, one other thing about DGSAC that I never really thought about: the social aspect. We’ve been having a pretty good time lately. In particular, we had a dinner last month. There were about 14 of us in attendance and I think we had 12 bottles of wine (2 were magnums). We’ve got another social coming up later this month and dinner at the Dean’s house in April!
