Fork Restaurant
by Hella ~ March 16th, 2005Just a quick review of last night’s dinner at Fork. It was a birthday dinner and about 14-16 people were at the table at any given time. The staff was very accomodating for such a large (and loud!) party. We all had a great time and it was enhanced by the delicious food (well, two girls ordered some fish that had to be sent back and the champagne sorbet was freezer burned or something, but my food was fantastic).
I started with calamari with a walnut pesto sauce as an appetizer. The breading on the calamari was just right and it had a nice buttery flavor to it. It was served with some sort of endive salad that was also good. For the main course, I ordered a hangar steak (served medium) with a side of yucca fries. The yucca was just perfect and had a nice saltiness to it which I enjoyed. Before dinner, I also tried a Fork Lift drink made from Absolut Kurant vodka, pomegranate juice, and lime juice. It was yummy with just the right amount of sweetness. And for dessert, I had a key lime pie that was good but nothing better than I’ve had in the past.
The interior is very cute and it’s a nice atmosphere to relax in. We pretty much closed the place down and they were rather friendly about the entire birthday party scenario. The food is on the pricier side but was delicious.

So, it turns out i’m headed to Wharton in the fall for just Q1… hope to see you then! Plus, any insights you have on the mysterious 19-page-document-needed-to-describe-it bidding process (and popular/unpopular minis) would be highly appreciated ;-)

Tried to leave a comment a minute ago and I’ll feel really silly if it shows up twice… anyway, I’m coming to Wharton in Q1 with the INSEAD exchange, and I hope to meet you then! In the meantime, any insights you have on the confusing needs-19-pages-to-explain-it auction system and on what minis might be popular/unpopular, it would be highly appreciated…
