How the Blog Lists Work

by Hella ~ July 16th, 2005

I’ve received a couple of emails in the past week asking why particular blogs appear on my lists (Applicants and Students) but not on the Wharton Adcomblog in the right sidebar. As a refresher, check out the instructions for being added to the lists.

So what’s really happening is this:

  1. Someone requests to be added to one of the lists by emailing the adcomblog
  2. A person at Wharton lets me know that the request has been made (sometimes I find out directly, also)
  3. I update a file here on Hella
  4. I send a modified version of the above file to the Wharton server for publication

The last item hasn’t been happening as often this summer because I am not finding a lot of spare time. It also doesn’t help that I don’t have an internet connection in my summer apartment.

So anyways, I will soon be updating the file on the Wharton server so the most recent lists will be published. In the meantime, I request again that if you are in one of the lists and need to be migrated off the list or onto another list, please let me know.
