by Hella ~ September 3rd, 2005Now that my summer job is over and I should have more time to run, I’ve decided to make an effort to get in better shape than I was last year before the Philadelphia Marathon. I’m hoping to log at least a 25K race before the marathon in November, but I’m still looking for something on trails that’s not too far away.
To encourage my training, yesterday I picked up a new digital audio player, the iriver T10-1GB. To go along with it, I’ve subscribed to Yahoo! Unlimited Music Service. So far I am very pleased with both though I will say the navigation on the player isn’t near as good as any of the iPods. But it has a lot of features that I like better, including running on regular batteries and a built-in FM tuner. It was nice that it also came with a sport case and arm band instead of having to purchase them as additional accessories.
So for right now, I’m back to my easy 6-miler. By the end of the month, I’d like to be up to regular (4x a week) 10-milers.
