Classes started again this week. Much unlike this time last year, I knew exactly what classes to attend on the very first day. I built up a nice amount of auction points and I got exactly what I wanted. And as of today, I got rid of exactly what I wanted … at a very nice price. Though I’ve been successful with it, I still don’t like the auction system.

So this year, here’s my schedule:
FNCE 720 - Investment Management
FNCE 732 - International Banking
MGMT 701 - Strategic Planning and Control
MKTG 756 - Marketing Research
MKTG 760 - Legal Aspects of Marketing

I’ve got some really outstanding professors this year and today was a big reminder of that. Though intense, management will be a very good class. It’s going to be a lot of work with a 70-page paper as the main deliverable, but it will be nice to be working with a team of people I know and like. I’ll also have a bit of group work in both finance courses and marketing research. I guess legal is the only course without a group element. This is much different than last year where my amount of group work was limited from having waived a lot of courses.

Extracurricular activities are already in full swing and I’m working on several things right now. But it’s nice to be super organized this time around. It very much helps that I sold my Apple PowerBook in favor of an HP Pavilion laptop. Now I can fully use Outlook for my email and integrate it quite nicely with my Blackberry.

All day tomorrow I have training for the admissions committee. I’ll be reading applications this year and conducting on-campus interviews. This is something I’m really looking forward to. I’m also anxious to get started again with DGSAC and find out what project I’ll be working on for the year.

Tonight is the first MBA Pub, but I opted to come home after my Sales & Trading Club meeting to go to my favorite Vietnamese restaurant. Now I’m pooped, but I have a bit of reading to do to prepare for tomorrow’s training. Guess I better get to that.
