Two classes are done
by Hella ~ April 13th, 2006Gosh this had been the longest semester ever. I guess I should have known it would be like this with 2 finance and 2 accounting courses. It was just a bit too much of a learning curve to be pleasant. While not over, at least Advanced Corporate Finance (commonly called ACF here at Wharton) and Problems in Financial Reporting are done. The exam for ACF was on Tuesday evening and I turned in my take-home final for Problems this afternoon. Take-home exams … ick. I spent a ton of time on it so hopefully the grade isn’t absolutely horrific :-)
I still have a Tax quiz next week and a final exam in Marketing Strategy. The last quiz in Tax was pretty bad with the average score being a 34%. I felt like I totally bombed but somehow it was my best relative performance yet. Marketing Strategy shouldn’t be too bad. The professor today told us that it was a short 3-page case where we’d write up the full marketing plan. Since we only have 80 minutes, I’m not sure there will be a lot of details to provide. Beyond looking through the semester’s course notes, I’m not sure there is a lot of prep to be done. Tax is another story. A story that I’m ready to close the book on. It’s the second tax course I’ve taken during my 4 semesters (and perhaps 2 too many?). If I’d had even a little bit of background, it would probably have been much better.
Tomorrow, Round 3 interviews start. Instead of getting an early start on the weekend, I’ll be in the admissions office conducting some of the interviews. Hopefully it’ll be a light day though.
