    would have ideally preferred the email id, but i will make do with the comment this time :) i was actually interested to know more about the work of what strat consultants do, what kind of service do they provide their clients, and to what level do they solve problems. i have not been able to locate any resources where i could get answers to these and a few more questions, so if you can write a line or two about it (either on your blog or reply me via email) , and if you could point me to a few web resources, it would be really great.

    I think of strategy consultants addressing executive level issues faced by a firm. Project vary greatly (both within and between firms) and probably run the entire range of business topics from marketing to operations to finance. If you want to know more, I’d pick up one of the Vault guides, such as this one at Amazon.

    I’ve applied to LBS, INSEAD and ISB and come from the media industry in India
